Dacorum U3A (University of the Third Age)

Members of the Dacorum U3A Local History Group share their memories of Hemel Hempstead from the time they arrived there.

The group consists of a broad spectrum of people, some were born and raised in the town, others arrived before it was a New Town and of course others have been arriving since it became a New Town.

The group have tried to give an insight into Hemel Hempstead from as far back as the 1930s (the childhood memories of some of the group) right through to the present day. The reader is taken on a journey, a walk back in time, through personal memories.
