Martin Norwood's interest in fish lands him in cold water

“We used to go fishing down there with our fishing nets. er with the jam jar with the bit of string round the top. Take your fishing net down there. Get the minnows, the gudgeons and the sticklebacks…. we was out one afternoon, and I always used to walk along the edge, looking for the fish, as most kids did I suppose, And there was a point, I believe, I recollect, where the bridge crosses at the bottom of bridge street. And I’d gone too far at the end of the edge of the bank….”
